Plant Brokering

Plantwise not only have their own extensive busy nursery, Tswellapele Nursery for supply to other companies and clients, but also to provide a consistent flow of material for their own landscaping and development projects. Plantwise are also professional plant brokers, researching, sourcing and obtaining plants from all areas from top suppliers of all varieties right down to rarities for clients globally.

Plant Exports

From small groundcovers to 20 foot full grown palm trees, Plantwise undertakes small to massive exports to the USA, China and the UAE with great success. They also provide consulting services for logistics, handling, customs, marketing and selling of the exported plants. They have also been involved hands on in the replanting of these in what may be considered desert areas in the middle east, deeming them in high regard by the Royal Family in Abu Dhabi.

Landscaping

Plantwise own landscaping team and preferred partners have a string of successful projects on a small and large scale under their belt, displaying creativity, ingenuity, determination and skill in delivering on time and within budget anywhere in the world.

From indigenous ground covers and plants right up to fully grown trees and exotics, every aspect in the chain of growth and harvesting undergoes experienced scrutiny.

As in all developing countries, development of local labour, both skilled and unskilled from both rural and urban areas is of utmost importance. As a member of the steering committee for the new product development for the specific development of Black Entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector, Plantwise acts as a mentor for the young and new entrepreneurs. This programme runs in conjunction with the SA Department of Agriculture, DTI, ARC, SAFEC and Directorate of Plant Production.

CEO Jenneth Prinsloo's expertise in the development programme is also to assist in the export growth path and to become sustainable, globally competitive and to contribute to economic development and job creation in South Africa. As a leader in her field, she assists on a continuous basis within her regional industry in both training of new entrepreneurs and initiating competitions and programmes for awareness of the environment and its importance. Skills transfer is also a key objective for Plantwise when working on a project and employee epwp workers together with a skeleton supervisory staff. Individuals are selected within their potential fields in which they seem to excel and mentored to improve.
